Doane College is Nebraska's first private liberal arts institution. Doane serves 922 residential students on its 300-acre Crete campus, 700 nontraditional students in Lincoln and Grand Island, and approximately 1,300 graduate students in counseling, education, and management.

Ranked by U.S.News & World Report among the top 150 liberal arts colleges and named one of the best midwestern colleges by The Princeton Review Midwest, Doane offers bachelor's degrees in 42 areas, seven pre-professional programs, as well as three master's degrees. Doane has a 9:1 student/faculty ratio.

Highlights include the nation's first education "warranty," which guarantees the abilities of teacher education graduates. Doane's record of 48 Fulbright Scholars is higher than any other Nebraska institution. A travel scholarship provides up to $1,000 for students to participate on college-sponsored trips in the U.S. or abroad. Doane is one of the first institutions in the nation to offer a four-year graduation guarantee.
